Prof. Ibrahim Hammad Al Traif is a highly respected Consultant Hepatologist and
Gastroenterologist, formerly serving as
the Section Head of the Department of Hepatology Sciences and the Organ Transplant Center at
King Abdulaziz Medical
City, King Fahad National Guard Hospital. With over two decades of clinical experience, Prof. Al
Traif is a faculty
member at the College of Medicine at King Saud Bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences,
where he is actively
involved in teaching and examining students in the Saudi Gastroenterology Fellowship Program.
A pioneer in his field, Prof. Al Traif founded the first Liver Transplant Program in the Middle
East in 1994,
significantly advancing liver transplantation in the region. He has been invited to speak at
numerous scientific
conferences, both locally and internationally, sharing his expertise in liver disease and
transplantation. Additionally,
he has authored and published several key publications that contribute to the body of knowledge
in hepatology.
