Dr. Mohammed Yousef Alghamdi is a highly esteemed Consultant in Internal Medicine,
Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and
Liver Transplantation at King Fahd Military Complex (KFMMC) in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, where he
also serves as the
Assistant Medical Director and the Director of the Internal Medicine Department. In addition to
his clinical
responsibilities, Dr. Alghamdi is appointed as the Executive Director for Training Sector 3,
overseeing medical training
initiatives in the Eastern Province, Dubai, and Bahrain.
After completing his Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology training at Dalhousie University in
Canada, Dr. Alghamdi
pursued an advanced fellowship in Hepatology and Liver Transplantation at the University of
Western Ontario. His
research focuses on liver transplantation, long-term survival, and recurrent hepatitis C, with
findings presented at
various medical meetings.
Dr. Alghamdi is an active Executive Board member of the Saudi Society for the Study of Liver
Disease and Transplantation
(SASLT) and has served as its President for two consecutive terms. He has authored multiple
journal articles and
textbook chapters and reviews for several prestigious medical journals.
