Prof. Abdulrahman Aljumah
Consultant Hepatologist and Gastroenterologist
Prof. Abdulrahman A. Aljumah is currently the dean of the College of Medicine and a fulltime professor of medicine at Dar Al Uloom University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
He was formerly a consultant hepatologist and gastroenterologist at King Abdulaziz Medical City and a Professor of College of Medicine at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
He graduated from Cairo University, Egypt and obtained his diploma in internal medicine from the Royal Postgraduate Medical School, University of London, United Kingdom. This was followed by the Membership of The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (MRCP), Dublin, Ireland and the Arab Board in Internal Medicine (ABIM). He completed his clinical fellowship training program in Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Liver Transplantation from the Toronto Hospital, University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada and awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (FRCP) Dublin, Ireland. He also obtained a master’s degree in public health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics (MPH) at the College of Public Health and Health Informatics, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, UK.
Prof. Aljumah is a member of several scientific associations and a founding member of the Saudi Association for the Study of Liver Diseases and Transplantation. He was the Associate Editor of the Saudi Journal of Gastroenterology. He has published over 80 publications in different peer-reviewed journals and a speaker in various local and international conferences. During his employment and academic careers, Prof. Aljumah has held multiple administrative positions.
